Archery Arrow Rest


Core to the spirit of Field Standard Research, is to experiment with our tools to increase our capabilities. Through exploration, iteration, and repair, we gain a better understanding of the limitations of our equipment used in the field.

The intention was to replace a consumable plastic piece, using 3D printing. The thin profile of the arrow rest allows the plastic to flex under use.

The print orientation helps to promote flexibility while reducing snapping or splitting along layer lines. The print angle along with a minimal pre-support helps to reduce filament usage and prevent excess artifacts from generated supports.
